Host2Please offers several different Unix and NT based hosting plans. For this review, we’re going to take a look at their Windows Hosting Plan 2, which is currently priced at $14.95. Although this plan does have it’s limitations, it would still be well suited for a personal site or a very small business site. If you do need extra space to stream rich media, you may want to take a look at their Real Media Hosting Plans.

This plan offers 200 megs of disk space and 3 gigs of monthly data transfer. Most sites use only around 1 gig a month or less, so for the class of web sites mentioned above, this should be sufficient. It is a little low when compared to other hosting plans in this price range. Unlimited email accounts are offered, and support is provided for Java, ASP 3.0, ASP.NET, and ColdFusion 4.0. This helps increase the overall value for this plan.

Mailing lists, autoresponders and redirects are all offered, but they don’t state whether or not you can have an unlimited amount. MS SQL databases are supported, but again, they don’t state how many come with this plan, which is a downside when it comes to rating them against other hosting companies in this level. Support is also provided for MS Access databases, but again, no further information is provided.

IMAIL is offered as well as support for iHTML. WAP and multimedia support is also available on all of their Windows hosting accounts, which is nice to see. A web-based control panel is provided with this account, but they don’t state if it is their own panel, or the more common panels for NT hosting. You can however use the panel to access your site statistics, and manage your logs.

Technical support is offered via a contact form on their site. A manual is provided for Unix customers with CPanel, but it does not appear that any documentation is available for the NT control panel. A FAQ is also provided, but it would have been nice to see some support options. Overall, this plan is suffering from a lack of available information and would perform better if this were rectified.
