IceStorm Hosting recently announced that they upgraded their hosting plans, so we figured it was time to take a look at what they had to offer. Their Enterprise Plan is well suited for business sites, or for personal sites that demand more resources than the average shared hosting plan can provide. This plan starts at $16.95 per month and there is currently no set-up fee.

A free migration service is offered, to make it easier to move your site’s files over to IceStorm’s servers, which is always nice to see. This is a feature that more hosting companies should provide their clients, since it really does take the hassle out of moving your site. Soholaunch, a popular site builder is included free of charge, and there are several other scripts that come standard with the included free copy of Fantastico that comes with this plan.

5 gigs of disk space and 100 gigs of monthly data transfer are provided, which is generous for this price range. You can add-on three domains, host 500 subdomains and 500 FTP accounts are provided. In addition, 500 email addresses and 500 MySQL databases come with this plan. For ecommerce needs, several shopping carts are provided, a free merchant account is available and GeoTrust SSL access is offered. This makes it pretty easy to get your online store up and running in no time at all.

You can create your own custom nameservers, password protect your directories and generate your own back-ups with this account. CGI, PHP, Perl, SSI, Curl, ImageMagick, GD, Cron and Python are all supported, and you’ll be able to stream audio and video files as well. Email support is offered 24/7 and telephone support is also available, but IceStorm doesn’t specify if the number is toll-free. Set-up usually takes less than 24 hours and there is a 30-day money back guarantee.

Overall, this plan carries a good price tag and offers enough space for a business site to grow. The added bonus of extra scripts, their migration feature and the rest of this package make it well worth the monthly fee.
