WiredHub Hosting

In our 05/01 podcast, we featured a WiredHub Hosting for our deal of the week. The Mini-Hub plan is currently priced at $6.95 and offers a lot of nice features for several different types of websites. Let’s take a peek under the hood and see what this special deal has to offer.

6 gigs of disk space and 100 gigs of monthly data transfer are provided with this plan. In addition, you’ll also get unlimited email addresses, subdomains and the ability to point an unlimited amount of domains from this account. Up to 5 domains may be hosted from one account, making this an ideal plan for a company that has more than one web site, or for a designer looking to set up sites for their clients for a reasonable amount of money.

Unlimited MySQL databases are provided and support is offered for Perl, PHP, SSI, ImageMagick and GD Library. CPanel is the control panel for this plan and Fantastico is also offered for free. An online site builder comes with this plan, but they don’t specify which one is available. However, it is WYSIWYG, so most customers shouldn’t have too much trouble using it to set up their sites. A one-click backup features is offered, which is very nice to see.

There is a 90-day money-back guarantee, which is very hard to find in this industry. One of the nicest features of this plan is that if you’re under contract with another web hosting company, WiredHub will buy out your contract so that you can switch to their services. In order to qualify for this feature, you will need to purchase a year’s hosting in advance, and the payout cannot be greater than $40. However, this is really a nice touch for this plan.

24/7 tech support is offered and WiredHub has a rapid response time guarantee. They state on their site that most questions are answered within 30 minutes, but you’re guaranteed to receive a response within 3 hours. Add up all of these features with the monthly price and it’s hard to beat this plan.
