DesignApps Launches New Newsletter

DesignApps, a provider of site management technology, announced today that they are launching a new newsletter called e-Infoactive which will focus on industry news, product reports and hot-tips for web designers.

John McBreen, president and founder of DesignApps, commented on e-newsletters, saying, “With so many businesses contributing content to the Web, we aim to publish a newsletter that is meaningful and adds value to our readership. We will achieve that through opening the forum to anyone who has something interesting to say regarding Internet topics.”

The newsletters will be interactive and feature streamed in content from a variety of different sources.

New Web Hosting Company Launches

Two Hosting Companies Acquired

GI Partners has acquired two of the largest hosting companies on the market, EVIServers and ThePlanet. Everyone’s Internet CEO and president Robert Marsh stated, “We’re excited about GI Partners’ outlook on the industry and think we’ll make good partners. The entire management team currently in place at Everyones Internet will stay in place and will be for the foreseeable future.”

GI Partners typically invests in midsized companies and according to the company’s web site: “typically pursues transactions of $100 million to $500 million in enterprise value where $50 million to $200 million of initial equity can be invested.”

According to NetCraft.com, both hosting companies are forces to be reckoned with. ThePlanet is the fourth largest hosting company, and EVI is the seventh largest hosting company in the world, and both are in the top five of dedicated hosting companies.

SWSoft Debuts PEM 2.5 Hosted Application

SWSoft, a well known provider of hosting automation software, announced that they are launching their PEM 2.5 Hosted Application. The application is intended for large hosting companies, telecom providers and internet service providers.

“SWsoft takes a partnership approach so PEM adopters can provide input to our development process,” declared Doug Johnson, Senior Product Manager for solutions, SWsoft. “PEM 2.5 incorporates several features that we developed on behalf of our partners so they could configure the platform to deliver a broader combination of differentiated services.”
