Kionic Hosting is one of the few hosting companies that is catering to bloggers, and providing them with reasonably priced plans. If you’re not interested in the free blogging services that are available, but you don’t want to pay a hefty monthly fee for a feature laden hosting package, this is a great middle ground.
The Basic Blog plan from Kionic is $6 per month, but this drops down to $5 per month if you pay for a year’s worth of hosting at once. It offers 1 gig of disk space and 10 gigs of monthly data transfer, which is really quite good for this price point. 1000 email addresses are included, which is very nice if you plan to have your visitors get in touch with you. Most free services don’t have this capability, so it’s nice to see.
5 MySQL databases are included with this plan, which should allow you more than enough to set up a blog and maybe a few other applications as well. You’ll be able to host 2 domains on this server, which is another nice feature. You could resell the space to a friend, or just set up another site with this option. Kionic offers a 99.9% uptime guarantee with this plan, as well as a 90 day money back guarantee. Most hosting companies only offer a 30-day guarantee, so once again, Kionic outperforms their competition.
If you need more space or databases, the other blog plans are still quite reasonably priced. One of the best features for this plan is that Kionic will assist you in installing the blog software of your choice, making it an ideal plan for beginners. You can have an application pre-installed, or you can get in touch with their support department to set up one of your choice. Given that many blogging applications can be a little difficult to set up, this is a wonderful feature.
Support is provided via a support ticket system, or you can use the community forums to get help from other customers. A knowledgebase is also provided for self-help. While it would have been nice to see more support options, given the monthly price and the simplicity of this plan, it’s not really necessary. This is a solid plan for bloggers, whether you’re new to hosting, or if you’re a pro who just wants a cheap spot to post your blog.Related Posts:
